Dominican Republic Beats Barbados

Romero Shines Again With the Tricolor

The last meeting between the two teams took place during the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

Romero completed his hat-trick with a third header in the 79th minute, this time from another corner kick. With his three goals, Romero leads the tournament and is at the top of the top scorers' table, in the hunt for the Golden Boot.

Dominicans Triumph Days After a First Crushing

At the Wildey Synthetic Turf Stadium in Bridgetown, the Dominican National Soccer Team achieved a resounding 5-0 victory over Barbados on the third day of the CONCACAF Nations League 2023-2024.

Dorny Romero opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by Edarlyn Reyes in the 21st minute. Ramón Griffit scored an own goal in the 45th minute.

In the second half, Heinz Mörschel scored the fourth goal in the 57th minute, scoring his first goal in his second game. Ricky Alba made his debut for the Dominican Republic national soccer team with a goal in the 88th minute.

Under the direction of Argentine coach Marcelo Neveleff, the Dominican team put in an outstanding performance and consolidated its position in Group B of the CONCACAF Nations League B League.

After this victory, the Dominican Republic moved into second place in the group with six points, following Nicaragua with nine points. After yesterday's victory, the Dominicans maintain their position in second place with nine points, still behind Nicaragua who accumulated 12 points.

Montserrat remains on three points, while Barbados is still without a point. Competition is in full swing as teams battle for promotion to the CONCACAF Nations League A.
